The Conservative Government won’t properly fund TfL, instead forcing the London Mayor to extend the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) to the whole of London. To make matters worse, they won’t subsidise Londoners who need to trade in their non-compliant cars and vans for newer models – leaving the motorist to pick up the bill. Now our local Tory Councillors are blaming London Mayor Sadiq Khan for introducing a £12.50 charge for drivers with older (mostly) diesel vehicles, instead of putting the blame where it belongs – on Transport Secretary Grant Shapps.
