We are delighted to welcome Barry Gardiner MP to present the film about his campaign to stop the disgraceful practice of fire and rehire – forcing workers to accept worse pay and conditions by threatening them with the sack.
We will be showing the film at Hill House St Helier on Monday 25th July at 8pm, followed by a Q&A with Barry Gardiner
Barry explains “My film exposes the shameful practice of fire and rehire. We’re living in a cost of living crisis, with rocketing inflation, yet employers are threatening to sack their workforce unless huge cuts to pay and conditions are accepted.”
This is a joint event with Sutton & Cheam Labour, Entry is free, donations welcome.
